Spring has sprung in the fashion world and the New York Fashion Week is here with all the usual fabulous fun of Fashion’s Night Out and the Project Runway Finale Show, as well as all the runway shows that is sure to be the best entertainment we have seen yet.

Fashion's Night Out Update.

On September 8th, 2011 (in less than 48 hours), VOGUE, Mayor Bloomberg, NYC & Company and the CFDA will team up for a third time to bring you Fashion's Night Out, the single biggest fashion shopping event in New York.

Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour created the ultimate shopping extravaganza, Fashion's Night Out, in 2009 and the festivities are still going strong. This year's schedule is super packed and it's going to be a hoopla of fun, fashion, and shopping.

Just In: Lauren Conrad " Paper Crown" Pre-Spring Collection.

Lauren Conrad's latest lookbook for Paper Crown, brings back memories of the casual Cali-cool vibe she made famous on The Hills. For her pre-spring line, L.C. is offering us some lovely little dresses, shorts, and sweaters that would be in heavy rotation for any stylish SoCal gal. With lace, pleats, stripes, and some Bianca Jagger-worthy wide-leg trousers, we think Lauren may have another hit on her hands.

Azzaro gets a new Creative Director!

          

Azzaro has appointed Mathilde Castello Branco as its new creative director. The designer, who previously worked with Alber Elbaz at Lanvin, will unveil her first designs for the French label in January for pre-autumn/winter 2012-13.

Branco takes over from Vanessa Seward, an assistant to house founder Loris Azzaro. In addition to Lanvin, the designer also worked at Hermès under Martin Margiela.”

Fashion Night Out 2011 Special Guide.

We can’t believe Fashion’s Night Out (and, thus, fashion week) is only a week away. As anyone who has ever been to a Fashion’s Night Out is probably aware, they pack enough events to fill an entire week into just a few hours, so pre-FNO planning is key. While Vogue‘s interactive map is quite handy, that is still a lot of stores to go through. So, we’re preparing a few of our own Fashion’s Night Out guides.

Although the "Carine's World" short film that Mario Sorrenti shot for Barneys has yet to make its debut, the retailer's full Carine Roitfeld-styled Fall 2011 print campaign — which features women (and one man — her son) Roitfeld culled from the ranks of her co-workers, friends, family, and just those whose style she admired — is now out.
