Fashion's Night Out Update.

On September 8th, 2011 (in less than 48 hours), VOGUE, Mayor Bloomberg, NYC & Company and the CFDA will team up for a third time to bring you Fashion's Night Out, the single biggest fashion shopping event in New York.

Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour created the ultimate shopping extravaganza, Fashion's Night Out, in 2009 and the festivities are still going strong. This year's schedule is super packed and it's going to be a hoopla of fun, fashion, and shopping.

For those of you in New York or on your way there, get ready for one of the most memorable nights of your life as the party starts from Acne all the way to Zac Posen with your favourite celerities on ground to add spice and colour. Those at home are not left out of the fun with most designer websites and e-tailers like Net-a-Porter, Barneys,Saks, Macys and loads more hosting FNO events online from 6pm to 11pm and selling the official FNO Collection.

As we know FNO also marks the official opening of the New York Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2012 so stay hooked for the Official Schedule of the NYFW S/S 2012.

Here are more happening events and parties going down.

Missoni for Target Pop-Up Store:Shop the much-anticipated 400-piece collection before it hits stores on Sept. 13 and the first 20 guest who spend more than $100 gets a fun photo up with Angela Missoni and Margherita Maccapani Missoni. In addition, guests who purchase pieces from the official Fashion’s Night Out collection within the first hour at the pop-up store in New York City on Sept. 8 will be entered to win some of Angela and Margherita’s favorite pieces from the Missoni for Target collection.

Intermix NYC: You're sure to have a raucous time at Intermix's fashion-meets-cocktails party at its new locale in the Meatpacking zone. Rachel Zoe will make a guest appearance and there will also be a FNO limited-edition collection avaiable for shopping, and last but not least, stylish signature cocktails created by Bols Genever and local Meatpacking spots including STK, The Griffin, and The Darby.

LA Beverly Center: Nicole Richie will be hosting the festivities at the Beverly Center set to feature two fashion shows: a Luxury Fashion Show and a Contemporary/Juniors Fashion Show. More than 100 stores and brands are participating this year and top designers, celebrities, and a projected 25,000 guests are estimated to attend the event.

Tracy Reese NYC: Tracy will host her 2nd annual FNO dance-a-thon, inviting guests to show-off their best moves, in the boutique and even in the store’s windows, with DJ Tyger Lilly to keep the music going all night at her boutique in the Meatpacking. Tracy Reese and DJ Tyger Lilly will judge the dance-a-thon and prizes will be awarded to the evening’s best dancers.

JCPenney NYC: JCPenney will be hosting a "Miss for a Must" event where shoppers can bring in a fashion "miss" from their closet in return for a gift card. Plus, get tips from experts that will help you avoid future fashion faux pas! Experts will also be on site to provide styling advice to guest. All gently worn "misses" will be collected and donated to a local NY charity.

Rebecca Taylor NYC
: The Rebecca Taylor flagship boutique will host a night filled with live music and DJ performances by AVAN LAVA, Narcisse & Fischerspooner's Ian Pai and Le Chev. Also, get your chance at walking the runway by participating in the "Who Wore It Best" style competition.

Kenneth Cole NYC: Stop in Kenneth Cole for a live performance from Parachute, have your photo taken with designer Kenneth Cole, and a free customized tee. Also, guesting using Four Square to check in will receive a free iTunes download card of Parachute’s latest album — sweet!

Frederic Fekkai at Christian Louboutin: Stop by a participating Christian Louboutin boutiques (NY/LA/Dallas) and pamper yourself with a free coiffure compliments of Fekkaistylists. The stylists will be available to pin, tuck, brush and adorn your 'do — and they can also give your look an exotic touch by pinning a pretty flower to your hair.

Hugo Boss NYC/LA: Cocktails, music, and dancing will be flowing at Hugo Boos, with photo booths set up at each downtown location. This one's not for the camera shy: images from the photo booths will be projected in the store windows for all to see. The brand will host an exclusive after party featuring a special guest performance. VIP access to the after party will be given to the first 100 guests who check in on Facebook at all three Hugo Boss downtown locations.

Bergdorf Goodman: Michael Kors will make an appearance in Bergdorf’s famous Fifth Avenue windows to celebrate 30 years with the retailer, Oscar de la Renta will be around to sign his limited-edition “Face of Fashion” Fall kaleidoscope palette by Le Métier de Beauté, Audrianna Cole will perform, and one of our favorite events of the night, the designer dog show where designers like Badgley Mischka, Joseph Altuzarra, Lela Rose, and Reem Acra will strut the runway with their dogs while Marchesa's Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig,Santiago Gonzalez, and The BagSnob’s Tina Craig do the judging.

Macy's: Joss Stone and Kelly Rowland will perform in addition to appearances from Tommy Hilfiger, Coco Rocha, Sandra Lee, Miss J from ANTM, Bobbi Brown, Anna Dello Russo, Karolina Kurkova, and Rachel Roy. Word has it that lucky shoppers also might get a chance to play a game of pool with Diddy!

Bloomingdale's: Appearances by Rachel Zoe and Erin Wasson; Edun's Ali Hewson will also host a truth or lie game where she and a special guest tell shoppers a story and have them decide whether it’s the truth or a lie. Sources are guessing that the special guest might be Ali's rockstar husband Bono.

Victoria's Secret: The Fulton Street location will be filled with models as Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Erin Heatherton, and Lily Aldridge will be readily available to take photos with customers. You can also get a Fall makeup and fragrance makeover.

Saks Fifth Avenue: Appearances from Tilda Swinton, Prabal Gurung, and a performance and autograph signing from Ne-Yo.
