Just In:Marc Jacobs Spring 2012 Collection Stolen.

Marc Jacobs Spring 2012 Ready-to-Wear

Marc Jacobs' Spring 2012 collection has been stolen in its entirety from a train leaving Paris.

The Telegraph reports that en route to the brand's press day, where all the samples from the collection would be presented to editors, all of the new, as-yet unproduced samples disappeared.

The news came via email:
Dear all,

The Marc Jacobs PR team is sorry to inform you that our press day tomorrow [a refresher of the clothes that were first shown on the catwalk. What, the models' googly-eyed death stares were distracting, alright?] in the Marc Jacobs store is cancelled, due to the theft of the spring/summer 2012 collections during its transfer from Paris.

How someone stole the whole collection, we cannot comprehend. Did they simply run the train car carrying all those shimmery dresses and layered skirts right off the rails? Did they do it piece by piece, using suitcases or granny carts? Did they go undercover as fashion PR execs? As train conductors?

We hope to find out soon!
